Our new 2014 classic car tour

With our 2014 driving days selling out fast here at Great Escape Cars have had to put our thinking caps on. Obviously we had to find the thinking caps first, as generally we are better at the doing than the thinking.  Caps duly doffed and with minds focused on driving days it didn’t take long before we began only thinking about what our perfect classic car-focused day might look like. Although selling what you would like to buy may not be the best way to run some businesses, and I’m sure we can all think of examples, for us it seems to work quite well. Because it turns out that, like our driving days, what we like tends to be what our customers like.  With a full calendar of 10 classic car driving days planned for 2014 we wanted to do something a little different.  Lots of companies offer weekend, week-long or even longer driving tours where you can take your own classic car and join like-minded owners on a tour of some pretty scenery and great roads. The trouble is, if you don’t have your own classic car it generally doesn’t work too well. And that’s when our thinking caps began to vibrate in an alarming fashion. The Cotswolds Getaway Tour is a simple idea. Take the format of our driving days – the chance to drive at least 5 different classic cars – and extend it over a more relaxed two day event that includes accommodation and food. Make the food and hotels stars alongside the cars, so there is something for drivers and non-drivers, and we think it’s a package that works rather well. So well that if we weren’t selling it we’d definitely buy it. Here’s how it works – for more details visit http://www.greatescapecars.co.uk or call 01527 893733 The Cotswolds Getaway Tour takes place from Friday 25th July to Saturday 26th July.  The idea is simple – spend two days leisurely driving around the Cotswolds in five different classic cars, following a relaxed route, stay at one of our favourite places in the Cotswolds, with a gourmet dinner and lunch included.  During the day you get the chance to take your time and enjoy the scenery with your co-driver, in the evening you can share experiences with the rest of the small group.
