Great Escape Classic Car Hire’s Morris Minor Convertible has a starring role alongside TV’s Gethin Jones on the popular ITV breakfast programme Daybreak every weekday from 28th May. The white Morris Minor, nicknamed Jan by Gethin and the production crew, features in the programme’s Jubilee celebrations in a week-long feature called Jubilee Jamboree. The car has visited Balmoral, Sandringham, Edinburgh, Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mint in Cardiff during the month-long filming for the feature. During the shoot the little 1960 car has become very popular with the crew and Gethin in particular. Great Escape Classic Car Hire regularly provides cars for TV, film and advertising film shoots. This project involved transporting the car to each UK location and providing support crew to valet the car and manage logistics. You can hire the actual car used in the Daybreak film shoot from Great Escape’s Cotswolds base. The car is available to hire by the day, weekend or week and is perfect for enjoying the English summer heatwave with family and friends as it is a full four seater. “The Morris Minor is perfect for Jubilee celebrations,” explains Graham Eason of Great Escape. “It is as English as strawberries and cream and brings a smile to everyone’s face. It has been fun transporting it around Britain because it grabs so much attention.” You can watch the Daybreak feature every day from 28th May on ITV from 6am.
